After a 6 1/2 hour drive accompanied by a Charlie Bone audiobook, I arrived in Atlanta this afternoon. I checked into my hotel, grabbed my laptop bag and caught a shuttle to the Georgia World Congress Center.
I met two librarians(forgot to ask where they were from) and four tech coordinators(from Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine).
I got to one great birds of a feather session on podcasting in elementary school, "Creative Podcasting for the Elementary Set" by Kathy Shields.
- call podcast and the Web site the same thing to make it easy for people to find it
- keep each session to 3-5 minutes
- for kids who can write, have kids practice their script and get comments from peers before recording

Kathy's casual and informative style were great. The interaction with the audience made the session very practical and relevant. Thanks Kathy!
